Student Worker - HSB Lab Attendant

About the role#

The HSB Lab Attendant provides essential support for the Technology Commons Learning Lab at Baylor University. This role focuses on maintaining lab facilities, assisting students with equipment, and ensuring technology needs are met for various campus events.

What you'll do#

• Provide customer service to students using the Technology Commons Learning Lab and the HSB Studio.
• Maintain lab facilities by performing routine tasks such as restocking printer paper and replacing toner cartridges.
• Keep the lab and surrounding areas, including classrooms and team rooms, clean and organized.
• Communicate and enforce lab policies to ensure a productive environment.
• Open and securely close facilities according to the assigned schedule.
• Report faulty equipment to supervisors to facilitate timely repairs.
• Provide on-site technology support for events, including training users and assisting with audio-visual needs, often outside of standard business hours.

What you'll need#

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance and a willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions.
• Experience with Windows is preferred.
• Experience with audio-visual technology or supporting live events is a plus.
• Commitment to complying with all University policies.
