Student Worker - HSB Lab Attendant

About the role#

The HSB Lab Attendant provides essential support for the Technology Commons Learning Lab at Baylor University. This role focuses on maintaining lab facilities, assisting students and authorized users with technology inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and event spaces.

What you'll do#

• Provide customer service to students and authorized users of the Technology Commons Lab, including answering or referring inquiries.
• Maintain lab facilities by performing routine maintenance such as refilling printer paper, changing toner cartridges, and keeping equipment and furniture clean.
• Open and close facilities at scheduled times and report faulty equipment to supervisors.
• Enforce established lab policies and maintain the overall order of the workspace.
• Support technology needs for events, including training users and providing on-site assistance during events hosted by faculty, staff, and students.
• Clean and maintain whiteboards and tables in classrooms and team rooms.

What you'll need#

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Commitment to regular and punctual attendance and adherence to all University policies.
• Experience with audio-visual technology or supporting live events is preferred.
• Ability to function effectively as part of a team.
