About the role#
The Office Assistant (OA) provides administrative support to on-campus communities at Baylor University. This role serves as a resource for residents, parents, visitors, and staff while maintaining the safety and security of the residential community. This is a paid, on-site student worker position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Monitor door security and report any issues to the appropriate staff.
- Provide administrative support to residents, including room access assistance and equipment check-outs.
- Maintain accurate log books for tasks such as maintenance issues, equipment check-outs, lost and found, and gift registries.
- Support residents by communicating concerns to hall staff.
- Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies and procedures.
- Greet clients and visitors while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain files, reports, and the confidentiality of information.
What you'll need#
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with visitors and residents.
- Ability to accurately log codes, maintenance issues, and equipment.
- Familiarity with campus locations and resources is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow university policies.
- Preferred majors include Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, and Sociology.
Location & details#
- Location: Earle Hall, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week between 7:00 AM and 1:00 AM, including weekends.
- Employment Period: August 2026 through May 2027.
