About the role#
The Office Assistant (OA) provides administrative support to on-campus communities at Baylor University. As a member of the Campus Living & Learning team, you will serve as a resource for residents, parents, visitors, and staff while helping maintain the safety and security of the residential community. This position is open to students in majors such as Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, and Human Resources.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative support to residents, including room access assistance and equipment check-outs.
- Maintain accurate log books for unlock codes, maintenance issues, lost and found items, and gift registries.
- Greet clients and visitors, answer inquiries, and provide general office assistance.
- Enforce and uphold Campus Living & Learning policies, including escort and visitation guidelines.
- Monitor door security and communicate concerns to residence hall staff.
- Maintain files and reports while ensuring the confidentiality of information.
- Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Residence Hall Director.

- Ability to assist with various projects and activities as needed.
Location & details#
- Location: Earle Hall, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 2026 – May 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week, with shifts available between 7:00 AM and 1:00 AM, including weekends.
- Compensation: Paid position ($8.00/hour).
