About the role#
The Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) is a research environment where scientists, engineers, and industry professionals collaborate on new products and ideas. As a Student Worker, you will assist with the day-to-day operations and event organization required to maintain the effectiveness of the facility.
What you'll do#
- Check in with the facilities coordinator daily for instructions on new projects and events.
- Create a welcoming environment by greeting guests, answering inquiries, and providing directions for meetings and events.
- Prepare for events by gathering supplies, setting up Wi-Fi, and checking technology equipment.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and package notifications.
- Maintain facility presentation by stocking office materials and checking digital displays.
- Keep accurate records, including reports on past events and tenant information.
- Provide general office assistance and support while maintaining file confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Polished customer service skills.
- Experience with Microsoft platforms is preferred.
- Ability to comply with University policies.
- Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology are relevant to this role.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM.
- Term: Summer 2026, with the possibility of continuing in future semesters.
- Pay: $10 per hour.
