About the role#
The Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) is a research environment where scientists and engineers collaborate with industry and business professionals. As an Office Assistant, you will support the daily operations and event management of the facility, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for guests and tenants.
What you'll do#
- Check in with the facilities coordinator daily for project and event updates.
- Greet guests, answer inquiries, and provide directions for meetings and events.
- Prepare for events by gathering supplies, setting up Wi-Fi, and testing technology equipment.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including package notifications.
- Maintain reports on event history and tenant information.
- Keep the facility presentable by organizing office materials and checking digital displays.
- Provide general administrative support and assist with miscellaneous projects.
What you'll need#
- Polished customer service skills and professional communication.
- Experience with Microsoft platforms.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Commitment to complying with all University policies.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

- Location: Waco, Texas
- Term: Summer 2026
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM
- Compensation: $10 per hour
- Work Modality: On-site
