Student Worker - BRIC Student Worker: Office Assistant

About the role#

The Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) is a research environment where scientists and engineers collaborate with industry and business professionals. As an Office Assistant, you will support the daily operations and event management of the facility, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for guests and tenants.

What you'll do#

• Check in with the facilities coordinator daily for project and event updates.
• Greet guests, answer inquiries, and provide directions for meetings and events.
• Prepare for events by gathering supplies, setting up Wi-Fi, and testing technology equipment.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including package notifications.
• Maintain reports on event history and tenant information.
• Keep the facility presentable by organizing office materials and checking digital displays.
• Provide general administrative support and assist with miscellaneous projects.

What you'll need#

• Polished customer service skills and professional communication.
• Experience with Microsoft platforms.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Commitment to complying with all University policies.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas
• Term: Summer 2026
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM
• Compensation: $10 per hour
• Work Modality: On-site
