About the role#
This student worker position supports day-to-day operations and event execution at Baylor Athletics facilities. You will gain hands-on experience in event management, guest services, and facility operations while maintaining a flexible schedule that accommodates your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event set-up and break-down for athletics events, concerts, commencements, and special events.
- Greet guests, provide directions, and manage crowds to ensure a positive experience.
- Support back-of-house operations, including locker room setup, team support, and equipment logistics.
- Operate equipment such as radios, scoreboards, and PA systems, with training provided.
- Monitor facility cleanliness and safety standards.
- Collaborate with staff and vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Baylor University.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Preferred: Prior experience in event operations, customer service, or athletic facilities, and an interest in sports management, hospitality, or event planning.

- Location: Ferrell Center, Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible, typically 10-20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
