Student Worker - AI Peer Consultant

About the role#

The AI Peer Consultant serves as a primary resource for business students looking to integrate Generative AI tools into their academic workflows and professional development. Based in the Technology Commons, this role focuses on promoting AI literacy by helping peers use technology creatively, effectively, and responsibly. You will assist students in moving beyond basic prompting toward purposeful, career-aligned applications of AI.

What you'll do#

• Provide one-on-one assistance to students regarding AI usage.
• Create instructional guides and examples demonstrating practical AI applications.
• Help students integrate AI tools into their academic and professional workflows.
• Support students in developing skills that enhance their academic and career readiness.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI and its applications in a business context.
• Ability to guide peers on using AI tools creatively and effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for one-on-one consultation.
• Proven ability to create clear guides and examples of AI applications.
• A commitment to promoting AI literacy among the student body.

• Location: Foster, Hankamer School of Business, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $15.00/hr.
