Student Worker - After School Counselor

About the role#

This is a part-time student worker position supporting after-school programs for elementary school children. You will serve as a role model and facilitator, helping students learn and grow through structured play and creative activities.

What you'll do#

• Supervise and engage children in daily after-school activities.
• Lead groups of K-5th graders through a curriculum that includes painting, coloring, singing, and active play.
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and fun learning environment.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to actively engage and play with children.
• Preferred majors include Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Communications, Nursing, Kinesiology, or Public Health.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time, 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (2:30 pm - 6:30 pm).
• Compensation: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour.
