Social Media Program Assistant - BC

About the role#

The Social Media Program Assistant supports the promotion of Mission Waco by creating visual content for social media channels, primarily Facebook and Instagram. This position involves working alongside the Director of Communications to document various programs and events, requiring travel to different locations within the community.

What you'll do#

• Capture high-quality photographs at Mission Waco programs and special events.
• Produce highlight and program videos, interviews, and tutorials.
• Collaborate with the Director of Communications to develop content for diverse facets of the organization.
• Manage and post content to social media platforms to increase organizational visibility.

What you'll need#

• Experience in photography and videography, including the ability to operate a DSLR or 4K camera.
• Proficiency in editing software, specifically Canva and Adobe Premier.
• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a flexible attitude, and a commitment to service.
• Reliable transportation for off-campus work locations.
• Preferred majors include Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Graphic Design, Business Administration, Art, Sociology, or Psychology.

• Location: Waco, Texas.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: 10-20 hours per week with flexible working hours.
• Term: Fall 2026, with potential for ongoing employment.
• Compensation: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour.
