Lariat Advertising Sales Representative

About the role#

The Lariat Advertising Sales Representative role involves generating advertising revenue across Baylor Lariat platforms. This position requires a mix of in-person meetings, email correspondence, and phone outreach to connect with local business owners, department directors, and managers. During the summer, representatives work independently to sell advertising products, while the academic year focuses on collaborative team efforts to meet sales goals.

What you'll do#

• Identify new sales opportunities through active prospecting and relationship building.
• Meet with clients to discuss advertising options and provide strategic guidance to help them reach their target audiences.
• Assist with various marketing projects, activities, and assigned tasks.
• Work independently during summer months and as part of a dedicated sales team during the fall and spring semesters.

Location & details#

• Location: Castellaw Communications Center, Waco, Texas.
• Modality: On-site only.
• Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the summer and 12 hours per week during the fall and spring.
• Compensation: $9.00 per hour, with performance-based scholarships of $1,000 to $1,500 available per semester during the academic year.
