Internal Audit Intern - BC

About the role#

The Internal Audit Intern will assist experienced auditors in performing various university audits and reviews. This role provides an introduction to internal auditing and supports the department's objective of providing independent assessments of university internal controls and administrative processes.

What you'll do#

• Perform purchasing card and expense report audits.
• Assist with various audits and reviews to support departmental goals.
• Handle filing and clerical responsibilities as needed.
• Answer phones and greet guests on an as-needed basis.

What you'll need#

• Current student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining regular, punctual attendance.
• Ability to handle university information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Schedule: 20 hours per week, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• Compensation: $12.50 per hour.
