Internal Audit Intern - BC

About the role#

The Internal Audit Intern will assist the Internal Audit & Management Analysis department in evaluating the university's administrative processes and internal controls. This position provides an introduction to the internal auditing profession and offers exposure to various university operations.

What you'll do#

• Perform purchasing card and expense report audits.
• Assist the audit team with various reviews and audit procedures.
• Support the office through clerical tasks, including filing.
• Provide administrative support by answering phones and greeting guests as needed.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling university information with discretion.
• Reliability regarding attendance and punctuality.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Compensation: $12.50 per hour.
