Groups Program Assistant - BC

About the role#

The Groups Program Assistant supports the Groups Service Coordinator and the Mobilization team in creating service-learning experiences for volunteer groups. This role involves coordinating with staff, community partners, and participants to manage service projects and volunteer experiences. You will also assist in developing promotional materials to maintain partnerships for Mission Waco.

What you'll do#

• Document and report information regarding project details, group schedules, and volunteer experiences.
• Communicate with staff, partners, and participants to coordinate service projects.
• Collaborate with volunteer group leaders to supervise and facilitate volunteer experiences.
• Develop promotional materials to support partnership maintenance.
• Represent Mission Waco and Mission World to visiting volunteer groups.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office communication tools (phone and email).
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• A mature and communicable Christian faith and spiritual life.
• A reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to learn or familiarity with facility management equipment, such as paint and lawn maintenance tools.
• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas (Off-campus at Mission Waco Mission World).
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Schedule: 10-20 hours per week, flexible.
• Compensation: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour, depending on status and skill level.
• Preferred Majors: Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, Business Administration.
