About the role#

The Graduate Student Employee for Student Support Programs works within the Student Success & Engagement department to advance the mission of the Student Success Center. This role focuses on fostering connection and engagement among the student body, specifically supporting first-generation college students, military-connected students, and transfer students.

What you'll do#

• Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
• Assist with programming, resource development, and student engagement initiatives.
• Support efforts to foster connection and engagement among the student population.
• Help promote access to resources that empower students to succeed.
• Engage directly with specific populations, including first-generation college students and military-connected students.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a graduate program related to student support or higher education.
• Strong communication skills to effectively assist students from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in event planning or programming is preferred.
• Familiarity with resources for first-generation and military-connected students is beneficial.

Location & details#

• Location: Sid Richardson, Waco, Texas.
• Schedule: 20 hours per week, typically 8am-5pm with occasional evenings.
• Pay Rate: $15 per hour.
• Employment Term: Ongoing.
