Graduate Assistant Chapel Worship Leader

About the role#

The Graduate Assistant Chapel Worship Leader supports the chapel model at Baylor University by organizing rehearsals and leading worship for various campus offerings. This role involves partnering with ministry partners to plan liturgies, service orders, and song selections for residential chapels, campus ministries, and other campus partners. The position operates under the supervision of the Senior Chapel Coordinator.

What you'll do#

• Organize and conduct worship team rehearsals.
• Lead worship for various chapels, ministry partners, and special campus services such as prayer vigils and Ash Wednesday.
• Plan worship programming, including liturgy and song selection.
• Provide consistent feedback on chapel services, including student engagement and service effectiveness.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in leading congregations vocally and instrumentally.
• Demonstrated aptitude in at least one musical instrument.
• Strong administration and organization skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours when required.
• Current enrollment in a graduate program, with preference for majors including Communications, Art, Philosophy, Psychology, or Human Resources.

• Location: Waco, Texas (Bobo Spiritual Life Center).
• Term: Beginning Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: 15 hours per week, determined by chapel needs.
• Compensation: $13.00 per hour.
