Dean’s Office Student Assistant

About the role#

The Dean’s Office Student Assistant provides administrative and front-desk support for the School of Education Dean’s Office. In this role, you will assist visitors, manage office tasks, and support the daily operations of the department.

What you'll do#

• Provide administrative support at the reception desk.
• Greet and assist visitors, faculty, staff, and students.
• Answer the telephone in a professional manner.
• Distribute mail to departments within the building.
• Inventory supplies for ordering purposes.
• Assist with general office tasks using software such as Canva, MS Word, and Teams.
• Maintain office facilities, including checking printers, refilling paper, and stocking the conference room and kitchen.
• Support office events, which may include lifting items up to 50 lbs.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current Baylor student.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Friendly and effective communication abilities.
• Punctuality and a willingness to work.

Location & details#

• Location: Marrs McLean Science, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Up to 10 hours per week, weekdays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
• Eligibility: Open to students in Business Administration, Communications, Graphic Design, and Psychology.
