Creekside Corner Store Clerk - BC

About the role#

This position supports the Chief Village Officer in the operation of a private convenience store located on the Creekside Community Village campus. The role involves working alongside formerly homeless men and women and requires a commitment to the mission of Mission Waco and the Creekside Community Village.

What you'll do#

• Operate a point-of-sale system to assist customers at the store.
• Maintain the store environment by stocking shelves and performing cleaning and organizational tasks.
• Assist the Chief Village Officer with daily convenience store operations.
• Gain experience in retail store management, facility upkeep, and community service initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, email, and phone systems.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• A reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems or a willingness to learn.
• A mature and communicable Christian faith.
• Ability to work effectively in a community-focused environment.
• Eligibility for Federal Work-Study.

• Location: Waco, Texas (Off-campus at Mission Waco Mission World).
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Schedule: 10-20 hours per week, flexible.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour.
