About the role#
This student worker position focuses on transforming raw materials, including photos, videos, and event information, into on-brand content for Instagram and other digital platforms. The role is ideal for students with a background in Graphic Design, Media Studies, Communications, or Marketing who are comfortable using design tools and managing social media feeds.
What you'll do#
- Design and draft graphics, storyboard short-form videos, and create stories using Canva or Adobe Express.
- Repurpose event photos and videos into social-friendly content, such as reels and short-form videos.
- Maintain a consistent visual look and brand voice across multiple Campus Rec Instagram accounts.
- Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and creative teams to produce content.
- Ensure all projects meet established brand standards and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere), CapCut, or similar design tools.
- Experience creating and editing short-form video content for platforms like TikTok or Reels.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- A portfolio or examples of previous content work is required for consideration.
- A passion for storytelling, creativity, and sports culture.
- An eye for layout, typography, and color usage, along with an understanding of social media engagement basics.
Location & details#
- Location: McLane Student Life Center, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week, including some weekends.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
