Clothesline Sales Assistant - BC

About the role#

This position supports retail operations and merchandising for a community service partner. You will gain experience in non-profit retail by managing daily sales, interacting with customers, and maintaining store displays.

What you'll do#

• Assist with retail sales and operate the cash register.
• Sort, tag, and organize incoming donations.
• Manage marketing and advertising efforts via social media platforms.
• Create and maintain window and floor merchandising displays.
• Perform custodial tasks to ensure a safe and clean store environment.
• Assist with online sales components as needed.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment at Baylor University with Federal Work-Study eligibility.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and creative display techniques.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including sorting and organizing donations.
• Aptitude for learning and operating sales transactions.
• Strong communication skills and a people-oriented approach to customer service.
• Reliable transportation for off-campus travel.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Sociology.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco, Texas (Off-campus at Mission Waco Mission World).
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Schedule: 10-20 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
• Compensation: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour, depending on experience and student status.
