Campus Recreation Member Services Manager

About the role#

The Campus Recreation Member Services Manager supports the Department of Campus Recreation by overseeing daily facility operations and ensuring a safe, positive experience for patrons. This graduate-level position involves managing service desks at the McLane Student Life Center, Russell Gym, and Pullin Family Marina, as well as assisting with special programs and events.

What you'll do#

• Oversee daily facility operations and enforce departmental Building Usage Policies.
• Interview, hire, train, and schedule student personnel for Campus Recreation Service Desks.
• Conduct ongoing training and personnel evaluations for Rec Service Associates.
• Supervise student staff and facilitate the resolution of employee or patron issues.
• Monitor facilities to ensure patron safety, event compliance, and proper use of equipment.
• Manage and maintain inventory of sales items, equipment, and operational supplies.
• Assist with facility opening, closing, and evening supervision.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a graduate student at Baylor University.
• Experience in personnel management and staff training.
• Familiarity with recreational facility operations.
• Ability to supervise staff and resolve conflicts professionally.
• Strong communication skills.
• Preferred majors include Human Resources, Kinesiology, or Real Estate.
