The Athletics Communications department at Baylor University is seeking a student employee to assist with ongoing communications efforts for the athletics program. This position involves a variety of tasks related to marketing outreach, digital production, and media operations throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
What you'll do#
- Manage social media posts.
- Prepare game notes and write recap stories.
- Distribute statistics and conduct research.
- Facilitate media hospitality during events.
- Assist with general communications, marketing trends, and creative design projects.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge or experience working in media is preferred.
- A minimum GPA of 2.00.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as required by event schedules.
- Enrollment in majors such as Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
Location & details#
- Location: Simpson Athletics and Academic Center, Waco, TX.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum of 2 hours per week in the office, with flexible shifts available at home athletics events. Total hours will not exceed 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $7.25 - $10.00 per hour.
