Advancement Admin & Communications Assistant - BC

About the role#

The Advancement Admin & Communications Assistant supports the advancement team with donor relations, event preparation, and communications outreach. This role involves assisting with administrative tasks to ensure consistent donor engagement and helping to capture the impact of organizational programs through storytelling and content creation.

What you'll do#

• Manage donor correspondence, including thank-you letters, emails, and acknowledgment mailings.
• Prepare materials for donor meetings, tours, and events.
• Organize and assemble donor packets, newsletters, and campaign materials.
• Collect stories, testimonials, and program updates for use in advancement communications.
• Create graphics, flyers, and social media content to support various programs.
• Provide general administrative assistance to the advancement team.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in operating a DSLR or 4K camera and editing video with Adobe Premiere.
• Experience creating content on design platforms.
• A flexible attitude, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
• Preferred: Knowledge of social media strategies.
• Eligibility for Federal Work-Study is required.
• Ability to commute to the off-campus work site.
• Recommended majors include Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or Public Health.

• Compensation: $11.00–$12.50 per hour.
• Schedule: 10–20 hours per week with flexible working hours.
