About the role#

The Pharmacy Intern supports the overall operation of the pharmacy under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care and assisting in the achievement of business objectives, including sales, inventory management, and expense control. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.

What you'll do#

• Assist in daily pharmacy operations, including customer service, inventory purchasing, and management.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Deliver Pharmacy Care programs, including immunizations, injections, testing, and adherence platforms under pharmacist supervision.
• Monitor patient therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse drug effects.
• Consult with patients regarding drug therapy plans, potential interactions, and outcomes.
• Support pharmacy workflow, including the preparation, dispensing, and sale of prescription products.
• Assist in developing store programs to meet sales objectives and increase prescription volume.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Valid state-issued Pharmacy Intern license for the state of employment.
• Immunization Certificate.
• Knowledge of laws governing OTC drugs, pharmacy products, and third-party plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet store and customer needs.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, as this is a safety-sensitive position.
