Deployment Intern (Pipeline Operations)

About the role#

Base is seeking a Deployment Intern to support the pre- and post-installation stages of battery deployments. This role focuses on the day-to-day execution required to move projects from contract through to completion. You will gain hands-on experience managing the deployment pipeline, ensuring project health, and contributing to the refinement of operational tools and processes.

What you'll do#

• Own the execution of the full deployment workflow, tracking project statuses and flagging potential delays.
• Assess installation feasibility, configuration requirements, and code compliance by reviewing member-submitted photos and documentation.
• Generate permit packages and prepare interconnection agreement submissions.
• Submit applications and documentation through AHJ and utility portals.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including inspectors, utility representatives, and AHJs, to move projects forward.
• Manage REP enrollments and ensure project records are maintained accurately.
• Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose solutions to improve operational tools.

What you'll need#

• 2+ years of experience in project coordination or operations, preferably within the solar, battery, construction, or utility sectors.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with members and external stakeholders.
• Experience scheduling and coordinating with external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in managing documentation and utilizing online portals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address roadblocks.
• Keen attention to detail and a track record of ensuring accuracy in high-volume work.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
