About the role#
This internship offers college students the chance to support government and private human spaceflight missions. You will join our engineering department for the Summer 2027 term. The program introduces you to various engineering disciplines through a project that contributes to mission success. You will present an out-brief on your work at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Support requirements collection and management.
- Develop tools and tool suites for mission or program readiness.
- Perform data analysis, integration, and presentation tasks.
- Assist with problem resolution and strategic assessments.
- Focus on process improvements and innovation.
- Engage in project management and systems engineering.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, math, science, or technology.
- Sophomore credit standing (30-59 hours) and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Houston, Texas.
- Work may involve sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and accessing test facilities.
- You may need to adjust your schedule to meet peak periods or travel to other installations as required.
