About the role#
This internship offers college students the chance to support human spaceflight missions for government and commercial industries. You will work within the Digital Solutions department to assist with digital infrastructure and application development. The role focuses on introducing you to various digital disciplines through a specific project integral to mission success. You will present an out-brief of your work at the end of the summer term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct digital infrastructure support and data development.
- Support requirements collection and management.
- Assist with AI sciences and development.
- Perform data engineering and analysis.
- Focus on integration, presentation, and problem resolution.
- Drive process improvements and innovation.
- Complete a designated project and present an out-brief.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Software Engineering, AI Sciences, Data Science, or a similar field.
- Sophomore credit standing (30-59 credit hours) at the time of application.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Programming skills in Front End (UI/UX) or Back-End (Database, Server) development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in teams or independently.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a U.S. government background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
