About the role#
Barrios Technology is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 term to support our work in human spaceflight. You will join the Digital Solutions department to assist with digital infrastructure, application development, and data tasks. This role provides exposure to multiple digital disciplines through a project that contributes to our mission. You will present your work at the end of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Support software development and engineering for tool suites.
- Assist with requirements collection and management.
- Contribute to AI sciences and development projects.
- Perform data engineering and analysis.
- Handle integration, presentation, and problem resolution tasks.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to innovation.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Software Engineering, AI Sciences, Data Science, or a similar field.
- Sophomore credit standing (30-59 credit hours).
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Programming skills in Front End (UI/UX) or Back-End (Database, Server) development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a U.S. government background investigation.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Houston, Texas.
- This position requires regular attendance and may involve occasional travel to other installations.
