About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity for students to support government and commercial human spaceflight missions. You will join the engineering department to work on projects related to low-Earth orbit, the Moon, and Mars. The program introduces you to various engineering disciplines and requires you to present an out-brief at the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Support requirements collection and management for space endeavors.
- Develop tools and tool suites for mission or program readiness.
- Conduct data analysis and strategic assessments.
- Assist with systems and project engineering tasks.
- Resolve technical problems and identify process improvements.
- Handle project management duties and integration tasks.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering, Math, Science, or Technology.
- Sophomore credit equivalency (30-59 credit hours) at the time of application.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
