About the role#
Baringa is seeking interns for our Energy & Resources Utilities team. You will join a group of experts working on grid reliability, customer affordability, and decarbonization. This role provides exposure to client engagements and the opportunity to build skills in the clean energy transition. Successful interns may be considered for full-time positions upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Conduct vulnerability studies to forecast the financial impact of climate change on transmission and distribution assets.
- Coordinate the development of solar and storage assets in low-income communities to improve grid reliability.
- Support regulators and utilities in integrating distributed energy resources and quantifying the benefits of microgrids.
- Assist asset owners and policymakers in shaping the future of the US energy market and net zero targets.
- Shape strategic digital roadmaps and lead vendor selection for network management and grid optimization solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a junior year or the final year of college studies.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial).
- Knowledge of regulated utilities, such as electricity or gas networks and market operators.
- Understanding of business and commercial strategy.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with Excel.
- Eligibility to work in the US now and in the future.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to July 30).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a weekly salary of $1,200.
