This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in procurement and contracting within a central banking environment. You will work as part of the Procurement Services team, supporting the acquisition of goods and services while focusing on quality, efficiency, and compliance.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with procurement specialists, analysts, and business stakeholders to facilitate the acquisition of a broad range of goods and services.
- Administer, execute, document, and retrieve procurement and contracting requirements for internal clients and external vendors.
- Participate in strategic initiatives to develop, streamline, and digitize processes and data to support operational planning and business excellence.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program pursuing a degree in business, commerce, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience in a client-facing or administrative role, which may include school projects, special committees, or previous employment.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Effective communication and team-playing skills to support various internal teams.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in a self-driven manner and take initiative.
- Functional bilingualism (English or French essential).
Location & details#
- Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2025.
- Modality: Hybrid work model, with a requirement to be on-site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month.
- Compensation: $22.84 per hour.
- Eligibility: Priority is given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Candidates must be eligible to obtain Reliability security clearance.
