This student opportunity provides hands-on exposure to Currency Operations within the Montreal Agency Operations Centre. You will work alongside experienced staff to support the safe, secure, and timely handling of banknotes to meet public demand across Canada. This role involves operating in a secure, highly automated, and robotics-driven facility where high accountability standards are maintained.
What you'll do#
- Assist with banknote shipping, receiving, processing, and reconciliation activities.
- Enter and verify data in operational systems to support real-time operational decisions.
- Follow strict custody, control, and security procedures in a high-accountability environment.
- Work safely within a highly automated, robotics-driven operational facility.
- Support the documentation or improvement of operational processes and contribute to basic analysis tied to real operational decisions.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a related field, such as Accounting, Finance, or Economics, with plans to return to school in the next academic term.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, structured environment.
- Comfort performing physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting parcels up to approximately 24 kg.
- Eligibility to obtain Reliability security clearance.
- Preference is given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
