    About the role#

    Reporting to the Manager of Client Relations, this position supports information professionals in delivering research services to the Bank of Canada. The role involves participating in core service delivery tasks and assisting with various projects across the division.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and curate information alerts using news and media databases.
    • Search databases and summarize key details to develop executive profiles for senior leadership.
    • Capture metadata of historical documents to support digitization efforts.
    • Assist with projects and tasks assigned by various managers within the division.
    • Utilize specialized databases for economics, business, and finance.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in information technology or library technology.
    • Status as a student returning to school in the next academic term.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically SharePoint Online and MS Teams.
    • Ability to understand nuances related to copyright and terms and agreements.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Knowledge of searching peer-reviewed business databases.
    • Client service experience is considered an asset.
    • Eligibility to obtain Reliability security clearance.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to be on-site at least 12 days per month.
    • Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
    • Compensation: $22.84 per hour.
    • Language: English or French essential.
    • Residency: Must live in Canada within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
