About the role#
Balfour Beatty US is hiring for an Intern or Co-Op position in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role available on a rolling basis. You will work within our construction teams to support project operations and gain hands-on experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Manage project budgets by controlling expenditures and coordinating billings for owners and subcontractors.
- Review and process submittal data and shop drawings.
- Monitor weekly and monthly status reports and subcontractor meeting minutes.
- Maintain logs for RFIs and change requests.
- Update as-built plans with changes, clarifications, and directives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- An expanding knowledge of construction details, such as miscellaneous metals, casework, doors, specialties, and radiation protection.
- Ability to develop new skills quickly and participate in team training and meetings.
