About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations. You will gain insight into the systems and practices used to meet customer requirements through the application of technology. Throughout the term, you will work on projects, attend team meetings, and receive coaching from a manager and a dedicated buddy to support your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily manufacturing operations, including monitoring equipment and overseeing processes.
- Ensure production goals are met.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance by inspecting products for defects and verifying they meet company specifications.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction.
- Collect and analyze data regarding manufacturing processes, product quality, and equipment performance.
- Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity and minimize waste.
- Prepare reports, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards in all situations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related STEM field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Fluency in oral and written English with effective communication skills.
- Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
