About the role#
Axos Bank offers a 12-week Summer Internship Program for students interested in enterprise technology. You will work alongside experienced developers to complete a capstone project and contribute to real business initiatives. The program includes sessions with business leaders, financial literacy training, and Corporate Finance Institute courses. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Design, code, and maintain complex SQL stored procedures and functions.
- Performance tune existing tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Troubleshoot database performance, replication, and operational issues.
- Review SQL code to ensure it meets coding standards and performance goals.
- Build SSIS packages for data transformation, cleansing, aggregation, and staging.
- Perform data analysis, profiling, and define data flow requirements.
- Prepare system documentation and operation manuals.
- Support production data loads and database refreshes.
- Create and execute data validation and unit testing methods.
- Maintain development standards while performing bug fixes and enhancements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical specifications.
- Experience in enterprise application development.
- Experience with low code development.
- Interest in working collaboratively with experienced software developers.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site at our headquarters in San Diego, California.
- The internship takes place during Summer 2027.
- Offers are contingent upon passing a credit check, criminal background check, and a drug screening that includes testing for marijuana.
