About the role#
This is a one-year co-op position based in Aurora, Ontario. You will work with the product design team to support customer design verification planning, test execution, and reporting. You will also assist the quotations department with costing exercises for upcoming projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design validation and verification testing through specification interpretation and in-house execution.
- Coordinate and manage third-party labs and perform laboratory audits.
- Generate and format test reports.
- Operate and maintain laboratory test equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis for part failures.
- Perform costing exercises for future projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Solid understanding of GD&T.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with material property testing equipment like tensile test stands and environmental chambers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality work.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and meet deadlines.
- Automotive industry experience is an asset.
