About the role#
Axalta is building a talent pool for Engineering Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site program. As specific roles open, we will match candidates from this pool to appropriate openings. This program includes professional development opportunities, such as workshops on communication and workplace culture, and concludes with a capstone project presentation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, analysis, and testing of engineering projects.
- Conduct research and gather data to support project development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on project progress.
- Support the maintenance and organization of engineering documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in a related engineering field, such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- An eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Prior internship or project experience is a plus.
- You must have the necessary work authorization to be employed in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Location & details#
- Locations: Philadelphia, PA; Front Royal, VA; High Point, NC; Houston, TX; Mount Clemens, MI; Troy, MI; Huntsville, AL; and Fort Madison, IA.
- Compensation: $22 to $27 per hour, depending on education and graduation year.
- Benefits: This role is eligible for benefits including health insurance and paid time off. A relocation allowance is available for those whose current address is more than 50 miles from the work site.
