About the role#
Axalta is building a talent pool for Chemical Engineering internships for Summer 2027. This is a 10-week program designed to help you gain professional experience through project work, networking, and workshops. You will work alongside senior leaders and participate in a capstone project presentation. Please note that this is a talent pool, and candidates will be matched to specific openings as they become available.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, analysis, and testing of engineering projects.
- Conduct research and gather data to support project development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges.
- Participate in team meetings and share your input.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations regarding project progress.
- Maintain and organize engineering documentation.
- Complete other duties as assigned by engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with engineering software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
- Prior internship or project experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- Compensation ranges from $22 to $27 per hour, depending on education and graduation year.
- Relocation assistance is available if your current address is more than 50 miles from the work site.
- We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position. You must have existing work authorization for the United States.
- Potential locations include Philadelphia, PA; Front Royal, VA; High Point, NC; Houston, TX; Mount Clemens, MI; Troy, MI; Huntsville, AL; and Fort Madison, IA.
