About the role#
Austin PBS is seeking a Production Intern to support our team in broadcast media production and distribution. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with production executives, producers, and crew members to gain a comprehensive understanding of television production. This is a paid, on-site internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist production staff with field production tasks, including field shoots and logging video files.
- Attend and provide support for studio productions and onsite events.
- Coordinate pre- and post-production activities.
- Conduct research and contribute to story development.
- Assist in producing segments, including logging and editing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in a field such as Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Graphic Design, or Business Administration.
- Availability for a minimum of 13 weeks.
- A strong interest in broadcast and digital media.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
- Excellent research skills.

- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- Commitment: 15-20 hours per week.
