About the role#
Austin PBS is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to support the marketing team in creating consistent messaging across print, digital, and on-air platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on promotional materials for local shows, community events, and educational initiatives. You will work alongside copywriters, art directors, and video producers to develop marketing campaigns and gain experience in an in-house design environment.
What you'll do#
- Produce assets to promote Austin PBS shows, events, and initiatives.
- Create original designs for print materials, digital assets, and multimedia projects.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop marketing campaigns.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities.
- Support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
- Accept creative feedback and translate direction into final work products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in an accredited college or university.
- Availability for a minimum of 13 weeks.
- A commitment of 15-20 hours per week.
- A portfolio of work, such as a website, PDF, or work samples, is required for consideration.
- Preferred majors include Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications.
