About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern on the Platform team, you will design and build services that autonomously control satellites, monitor telemetry for anomalies, and provide real-time situational awareness to keep the fleet safe and online. You will build core components and services that power the broader software organization, enabling teams to move faster and more reliably. This role involves contributing to both commercial and U.S. government programs.
What you'll do#
- Design and build high-performance, reliable, mission-critical software used to send commands to space.
- Take full ownership of features, working across backend and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architectures, and designs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with databases such as Postgres.
- Experience with pub/sub and streaming systems like RabbitMQ or Flink.
- Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes or building fleet management systems.
- Ability to meet U.S. export control regulations (U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required).
