About the role#
Astranis is seeking an Assembly, Integration, and Test Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, build, and testing of satellite hardware and software as part of an interdisciplinary team. Interns are expected to work on-site five days a week at our San Francisco facility.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, RF, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures.
- Operate test equipment and instruments, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, and oscilloscopes, to execute test plans.
- Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts.
- Contribute to the design, build, and testing of satellite hardware and software.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- A passion for hardware development and hands-on design.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with spacecraft systems and operations.
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee status is required to comply with export regulations.
