BET AI Program Management Intern

About the role#

The BET AI Program Management Intern will support engineering and program management teams by developing AI-enabled tools, workflows, and decision-support assistants. This role focuses on the practical application of AI to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality in a manufacturing and advanced materials environment. You will work cross-functionally to translate technical and business needs into structured AI solutions and own a defined AI-focused project for the duration of the summer.

What you'll do#

• Design and develop AI-based tools and assistants to support program management and engineering workflows.
• Translate business and technical requirements into structured AI prompts, workflows, or decision frameworks.
• Test, validate, and refine AI outputs to ensure accuracy, usefulness, and alignment with internal standards.
• Support the AI-enabled analysis and summarization of customer, supplier, and internal documentation.
• Streamline repetitive program management tasks through AI-assisted workflows.
• Document AI tools, including assumptions, limitations, and recommended usage practices.
• Own a defined AI-focused project, from defining scope and objectives to delivering a final presentation on outcomes and efficiency gains.

What you'll need#

• Completion of at least two years of college-level coursework.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in applied AI, automation, and process improvement.
• Familiarity with AI tools, such as large language models (e.g., ChatGPT) and prompt-based workflows.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical and business needs into structured solutions.
