About the role#
The ASPCA is looking for a Veterinary Student Ambassador at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. You will act as a representative for the organization on your campus. This role connects you with peers and professionals in animal welfare while you promote ASPCA initiatives. You will work independently to engage students and provide information about resources and career pathways.
What you'll do#
- Represent the ASPCA at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Build relationships with fellow students and relevant student groups.
- Act as a primary point of contact for campus events and collaborations.
- Assist with the planning and execution of on-campus events such as workshops, presentations, and career fairs.
- Share information about externships and other student resources.
- Create written communications regarding the ASPCA and upcoming activities.
- Stay current on all ASPCA student opportunities.
- Maintain academic excellence and follow all school policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a veterinary medical student at Colorado State University.
- A high school diploma.
- Good academic standing.
- Active membership in at least one student group related to animal welfare or shelter medicine.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with maturity and professionalism.
- Access to a computer for virtual meetings and correspondence.
- Ability to store promotional materials for campus distribution.
- A strong belief in the mission and core values of the ASPCA.
- You must not currently serve as an ambassador for another animal welfare organization or non-profit.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in Colorado.
- The role requires an average of 3 hours of work per week.
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until October 3, 2026.
- This is a paid position.
