About the role#
The ASPCA is looking for a Veterinary Student Ambassador at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. This role connects you with peers and professionals in animal welfare while you champion the initiatives of the organization. You will work independently to engage students and provide information about externships and other resources.
What you'll do#
- Represent the ASPCA at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Build and nurture relationships with fellow students and campus groups.
- Act as a resource for students interested in the ASPCA and our work.
- Serve as a liaison to the ASPCA Campus Relations Senior Manager.
- Assist with the planning and execution of campus events, including workshops and presentations.
- Promote opportunities to student groups and develop written communications about upcoming events.
- Stay informed about all student externship opportunities and resources.
- Maintain academic excellence and follow all school policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a veterinary medical student at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Good academic standing.
- Active membership in at least one student group related to the core work of the ASPCA.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with peers.
- A strong belief in the Mission and Core Values of the ASPCA.
- Ability to dedicate an average of 3 hours per week.
- High level of maturity and professionalism.
- Access to a computer for virtual meetings and email.
- Ability to temporarily store promotional items for campus distribution.
- You must not currently serve as a student ambassador for another veterinary or animal welfare organization.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in North Carolina.
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until October 3, 2026.
- The role is part-time and paid at $20 per hour.
