About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in research and development within a medical device setting. You will work alongside current R&D team members to support engineering tasks including device prototyping, test method development, and design verification. This position offers opportunities to network with industry professionals and attend events to build your knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Perform marketing and technical literature surveys to identify the current state of the art in surgical disciplines.
- Contribute to the design ideation of new medical devices and components.
- Support computational and simulation models for device characterization.
- Develop experimental testing strategies and write protocols for component characterization.
- Construct test setups and systems for design verification testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
- Junior or Senior standing with good academic records.
- Ability to work 16 to 24 hours per week.
- Previous research experience is highly desired.

- This role is based on-site in Kennesaw, Georgia.
- This is a paid, part-time internship with a rolling term.
