About the role#
This co-op position supports the Product Surveillance team at Arthrex in Naples, Florida. You will help manage the intake, investigation, and reporting of product quality complaints. The role focuses on maintaining product safety and regulatory compliance through data analysis and technical documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role running from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform complaint investigations and root cause analysis on returned devices or identified trends.
- Gather and analyze data for monthly complaint trending activities.
- Prepare technical reports based on your findings.
- Support global complaint triage, intake, evaluation, and closure processes.
- Partner with design, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to improve processes.
- Review Supplier Quality Agreements and update the electronic complaint system.
- Manage assigned tasks and communicate issues in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a bachelor's degree program for engineering or engineering technology, or graduation within the last six months.
- Junior standing or above is preferred.
- Studies in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Computer Engineering are preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to solve technical issues.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Knowledge of Regulatory and ISO guidelines for medical devices, product risk management, CAPA, and Nonconformance Reporting is preferred.
- Familiarity with orthopedic medical devices is a plus.
