About the role#
This summer internship offers a chance to experience the medical device industry within the Foot & Ankle and Trauma product management team. You will work directly with departments that influence product development, including engineering, medical education, and surgeon consultants. The program runs from May 2027 through August 2027 in Naples, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research on current and future product lines.
- Analyze survey findings and identify trends to share with the product management team.
- Gather competitor sales data using the Hospital Supply Index Database.
- Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations to synthesize research and provide recommendations.
- Develop marketing collateral and social media plans in collaboration with marketing communications.
- Create product demonstration models and training materials for industry meetings and onsite training.
- Conduct focus groups with sales representatives to define product needs.
- Support labs that use cadaveric specimens for testing surgical implants and instruments.
- Present a capstone project to senior product management team members.
- Interact with internal teams and external surgeon customers.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree and current enrollment in a Master's program, preferably in Business or Biomedical Engineering. Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date.
- Experience in Medical Device Sales or Orthopedics is highly preferred.
- A strong interest in brand management and surgical devices.
- Intermediate to expert computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- This role is located on-site in Naples, Florida.
- The position is full-time at 40 hours per week.
- This is a paid internship.
