About the role#
The Biological Safety Lab team at our Ave Maria manufacturing site supports monitoring programs and production activities through laboratory testing. We are looking for an intern to assist with daily lab operations and sample testing. You will work both independently and with the team to ensure accurate documentation and test execution.
What you'll do#
- Enter data into BSL LIMS systems and maintain paper documentation.
- Collect laboratory test data and environmental samples.
- Prepare samples for microbiological or chemistry testing.
- Manage glassware preparation and operate the autoclave.
- Maintain and clean the laboratory environment.
- Complete tasks assigned on the project list.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biomedical Engineering. Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and pay close attention to detail in documentation.
- Experience with Good Documentation Practices, microbiology sample collection, and Gram staining is preferred.

- Location: Ave Maria, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 2027 to August 2027).
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
